Defect:: Equipment description: aftermarket gasoline fuel injectors date-coded 0357 through 0597. a crack in the steel allows fuel to leak from the injector via the crimp holes.
Consequence:: If an ignition source is present, fuel leakage can result in an engine fire.
Correction:: Fuel injectors are being returned to sagem for testing.
Notes:: Owner notification:distributors have been notified.owner notification is expected to begin during april 1997.note:owners who return the fuel injector and do not receive a replacement injector free of charge within a reasonable time should contact sagem at 1-864-297-1700.also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-800-424-9393.
