Defect:

The windshields on the affected vehicles do not conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 205, "glazing materials". these windshields were not fabricated with as-1 laminated glazing material, but with tempered glazing material instead.

Correction:

Dealer will inspect windshield for the marking "dot-187 as-1". if this is not found, a replacement windshield will be installed at no cost to owner.
