Defect:

Hankook tire america corp. (hankook) is recalling certain dynapro mt lt325/60r18 rt03 tires manufactured august 21, 2011, through september 28, 2013. the affected tires may develop a separation at the tread/belt edge.

Consequence:

Tread separation can result in tire failure and loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Correction:

Hankook will notify owners and dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. the recall began on november 22, 2013. owners may contact hankook at 1-800-426-5665.
