Brake hose assemblies with p/n 5478 and 5480 shipped to customers between july 8, 2002, and april 4, 2004, fail to comply to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 106, brake hoses. these hoses failed the tensile strength test of the standard. these hoses can be identified by reference which is ch.

Correction:

The petition was denied on december 15, 2004. the manufacturer has not yet provided the agency with a remedy and notification schedule.
