- These tires fail to meet the requirements of fmvss #109 endurance tests. a blister could develop in the tread shoulder area resulting in a partial tread separation. a sudden loss of air could occur. consequence of defect: sudden loss of air creates a potential for loss of vehicle control and an accident.
