2008 FERRARA PUMPER Recall

Defect:

Ferrara recalled 3 fire trucks equipped with caterpillar engines. the extension pipes attached to the aftertreatment regeneration device (ard) may develop a hole, and heat and flame may escape during a regeneration of the diesel particulate filter.

Consequence:

This may result in a fire hazard.

Correction:

Ferrara is working with caterpillar to have the vehicles repaired (please see 08e054). owners have been notified and arrangements have been made to have these vehicles repaired.
