Defect:: The e-z slide-out room can operate unexpectedly. water can cause an electrical short in the slide-out room control relay.
Consequence:: If the slide-out room operates unexpectedly, the motor home width will increase which could lead to an accident if traveling or property damage could occur while the motor home is parked.
Correction:: Dealers will install a replacement control relay in a waterproof location on these motor homes.
Notes:: Owner notification began january 18, 1997.owners who take their motor homes to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact fleetwood at 1-800-854-4755.also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-800-424-9393.
