Defect:

The intermediate fuel supply and return lines were spliced using rubber hose and worm-drive clamps. the rubber hose ruptures due to the pressure generated by the fuel pump, resulting in a fuel leak.

Consequence:

The ruptured hose sprays fuel onto the hot exhaust system and results in an engine compartment fire.

Correction:

Rubber hose and clamp will be replaced with the steel braided fuel lines and fittings.
