Defect:

Vehicle description: class a motor homes. the two front frame towers used to mount the front axle control arms to the vehicle can develop fatigue cracks or fractures.

Consequence:

A complete fracture of a frame tower can cause a loss of steering control and potentially result in a vehicle crash.

Correction:

Dealers will inspect the welds on both frame towers and repair if necessary. a gusset reinforcement will be added to strengthen the maximum stress point of each frame tower.
