- A nut which joins the wheel spindle and a ball joint in the front suspension was not properly torqued.
- Consequence:
- The ball joint and the suspension strut can ultimatelyseparate from each other. the wheel will remain attached to the car, but loss ofsteering control will result.
- Correction:
- Inspect the front suspension for proper ball joint attachment and replace the ball joint assembly if it does not meet specifications.
