- Brakes may require excessive time to release after brake application. a second defect is reduced holding power of the parking/emergency brakes due to entry of water in the rear brake chambers. excessive release time does not comply with federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 121, "air brake systems".
- Correction:
- Dealer will modify the vehicle by installing a quick release valve in the brake air system and by substitution of a stiffer brake pedal return spring. rear brake chambers will be exchanged or modified, depending on the chamber make, to prevent water entry.

- A steel tube that delivers air to the front axle air brake chamber can contact the front shock absorber. consequence of defect: repeated contact can wear a hole in the tube, causing air pressure to be lost during brake application. this could result in impaired braking capability and an accident.
- Correction:
- Reroute steel tube and/or replace, as necessary.
