Defect:
The wrong operational amplifier was installed in the controller on the involved vehicles. if a certain capacitor in the controller should fail, the brakes on the axle on which the controller is located would fail. the brake warning light which would normally indicate a malfunction, would also be inoperative.
Correction:
The dealer will inspect and, if necessary, remove incorrect controller and install a new controller and wiring harness.

The involved vehicles have 10 degree wedges in the parking brake system, which may not be adequate to hold a loaded vehicle on a steep grade. this deficiency may lead to failure of the parking brakes.
Correction:
Dealer will replace the 10 degree wedge with a 12 degree wedge to reduce the chances of parking brake failure.
