Defect:

Hitches, attached to small trailers that attach to motorcycles, may contain substandard materials in the chrome ball coupler.

Consequence:

Coupler could fail, allowing trailer to separate from motorcycle, which could result in the trailer crashing into another vehicle or object in the vicinity.

Correction:

Install replacement chrome ball coupler that contains proper materials.
