Defect:

The outer wheel nuts on either or both ends of the axle spindles may be improperly torqued, which could permit the nuts to back off while the vehicle is in operation.

Consequence:

The nuts backing off while the vehicle is in operationcause the wheel to separate from the axle, which could result in a vehicleaccident.

Correction:

Adjust the torque on the outer wheel nuts.
