Defect:

Tap worldwide, llc (tap) is recalling certain rubicon express aftermarket lower control arms, part numbers re4000, re4010, and re4050. these lower control arms have welds that may fail.

Consequence:

Lower control arm weld failure can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Correction:

Tap will notify owners and will replace the lower control arms, free of charge. the recall began september 28, 2018. owners may contact tap customer service at 1-888-376-1417.
