The involved fifth wheel couplers may contain defective clevis pins which could develop stress cracks in the area of the 1/4 inch diameter hole where the cotter pin is installed. this condition could cause the clevis pin to shear in half.

Correction:

Owner will be sent the necessary materials and instructions for installation of new clevis and cotter pins.
