The involved tires may not meet the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 119, "new pneumatic tires for vehicles other than passenger cars". as a result, the tread could separate from the carcass in the shoulder area of the tire while in service.

Correction:

Involved tires will be replaced, free of charge, within 60 days of recall notification.
