Defect:

Iowa mold tooling co., inc. (imt) is recalling certain omnex proportional wireless transmitters, part numbers 70733882 and 70733883, used for controlling cranes. these wireless transmitters have a diode that can fail, possibly causing the crane to move in an unintended manner.

Consequence:

If the crane moves in a way that was not intended, it can increase the risk of injury to those nearby.

Correction:

Imt will notify owners, and imt distributors will replace the transmitter, free of charge. the recall is expected to begin december 14, 2018. owners may contact imt customer service at 1-800-554-4421.
