Defect:

The seat belts installed in these vehicles fail to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 208, "occupant crash protection". the harness anchoring point was located further rearward than is permitted under the safety standard in order that the t-roof (hurst hatch) conversion kit could be installed.

Correction:

The dealer will lengthen the front shoulder belt "d" ring sling assembly by eight inches at no charge.
