Defect:

The fuel pumps may contain a damaged interior seal. a damaged interior seal may introduce air into the fuel system, changing the fuel density.

Consequence:

Changes in the fuel density resulting from theintroduction of air at the fuel pump can create surges at high vehicle speeds orcause stalling in idle conditions. excessive stalling may create a road hazardcondition. surges at high speed could result in loss of vehicle control and anaccident.

Correction:

Replace the defective fuel pumps.
