Defect:

The quick release chin strap failed to meet the retention requirements of fmvss 218, motorcycle helmets. consequence of defect: the inability for the helmet to remain on the motorcyclist during an accident increases the possibility of serious head injuries.

Correction:

Helmets will be inspected and repaired to conform with fmvss no. 218.
