Defect:

The breast shield could separate from the tongue of the restraint assembly in crash conditions because of a faulty buckle frame.

Consequence:

Breast shield separation during a sudden stop or crashwould expose seat occupant to increased risk of injury. seat fails to complywith requirements of fmvss 213.

Correction:

Replace breast shield assemblies.
