These batteries may have terminals that were improperly welded.

Consequence:

If these batteries are charged, load tested or jumpstarted, they could explode without warning resulting in injury to personsstanding nearby. warning: do not attempt to service these batteries.

Correction:

Dealers will inspect the batteries for the date code involved and if the battery has the date code of 5bc16, it will be replaced free of charge.
