Defect:

There is a marginal weld penetration between the bracket weldment and the plate. this can cause the bracket and plate to separate.

Consequence:

Separation of the bracket and the plate can cause anytowed vehicle to separate from the towing truck or tractor and result in avehicle accident.

Correction:

Replace the mounting bracket and plate.
