Defect:

Best dubs is recalling 9,700 aftermarket hid conversion kits sold for use on various vehicles. these kits fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."

Consequence:

These kits produce excessive glare to oncoming traffic which may result in a vehicle crash.
