Defect:

The child restraint seat cushions do not adequately resist compression - deflection of the seat occupant's head when tested for crashworthiness.

Consequence:

The child safety seat does not comply with therequirements of fmvss 213. seat occupants are subject to increased risk ofinjury in the event of a sudden stop or accident.

Correction:

Replace the seat cushion with a cushion that meets the compression - deflection federal safety standard requirements.
