Defect:

Aperia technologies (aperia) is recalling certain halo tire inflators, model number 20-00002032. the brackets used with the adapter plates may crack and fail allowing the adapter plate to separate from the wheel, resulting in rapid deflation of the tire.

Consequence:

Rapid air loss in a tire can affect vehicle handling, increasing the risk of a crash.

Correction:

Aperia will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected parts, free of charge. the recall began on november 19, 2017. owners may contact aperia customer service at 1-415-494-9624.
