The involved helmets failed to meet the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 218, "motorcycle helmets", due to impact attenuation failure at temperatures near or at 14 degrees fahrenheit.

Correction:

The helmets will be repaired or replaced as found necessary, free of charge.
