Equipment description: compressed natural gas valves used on transit buses. seat deterioration can occur resulting in gas leakage.

Consequence:

Compressed natural gas leakage in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire.

Correction:

Dealers will replace these valves.

Notes:

Owner notification is expected to begin november 19, 1998.owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact afc at 1-616-781-1111.also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
