2012 ALTEC FREIGHTLINER Recall

Defect:

Altec industries, inc. is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 vehicles mounted on a freightliner chassis. due to improper installation, the air supply line of the front brakes is susceptible to kinking.

Consequence:

Overtime, the front brake line could become kinked leading to a loss of front brake control, increasing the risk of crash.

Correction:

Altec will notify owners, and will repair the vehicles, free of charge. the safety recall began on january 4, 2013. owners may contact altec industries at 1-877-462-5832.
