Defect:

Terex south dakota (tsd) is recalling certain model year 2009-2014 terex tc, and tcx hybrid electric trucks manufactured june 8, 2009, to july 30, 2014 and equipped with aerial devices. the affected vehicles may be improperly wired, and as a result, the aerial boom may move unintentionally when the hydraulic tools are being used.

Consequence:

Inadvertent boom movement can cause the platform to strike objects in the work area, increasing the risk of injury to the operator.

Correction:

Tsd will notify owners, and dealers will install a diode and alter the wiring to correct the issue, free of charge. the recall began on november 20, 2016. owners may contact tsd customer service at 1-800-982-8975. tsd's number for this recall is sn631.
