2009 GENIE TZ-50 Recall

Defect:: Genie is recalling certain model year 2009 tz-34 and tz-50 vehicles manufactured from april 1 through august 31, 2009, equipped with trailer mounted aerial work platform booms. material used in the platform support components was not in compliance the manufacturer's specifications.
Consequence:: This could result in cracking of the supporting structure and ultimately result in the platform falling, possibly resulting in personal injury to the operator.
Correction:: Genie will notify owners and repairs will be performed by authorized genie dealers free of charge. the safety recall began on august 31, 2010. owners may contact genie at 1-800-536-1800.
