Defect:

Altec llc (altec) is recalling certain model year 2008-2009 altec llc/lift-all lss aerial devices manufactured december 2008 through october 2009. cracks may develop in the turntable.

Consequence:

Cracks may result in failure of the aerial device, increasing the risk of personal injury to the worker or those nearby.

Correction:

Altec will notify owners to inspect the turntable. a stiffener repair kit will be installed on the turntable, free of charge. the recall began during august 2013. owners may contact altec at 1-800-860-0183. altec's recall number is csn 582.
