Defect:: On certain motorcycles, the fuel pump and ignition relays installed during production could be defective. this can cause the instrument panel to stop functioning and the engine to stop.
Consequence:: If the engine stopped while the motorcycle was being driven, it could increase the risk of a crash.
Correction:: Dealers will replace the fuel pump and igntion relays. the recall is expected to begin during october 2006. owners may contact ducati at 1-408-253-0499.
