Defect:

On certain dump, equipment haulers and hydraulic tilt trailers equipped with global direct components (gdc) axles, the weld which fastened the axle spindle to the axle tube was improperly welded.

Consequence:

The spindle could separate from the axle tube causing the wheel and tire to separate from the trailer increasing the risk of a crash.

Correction:

Bri-mar is working with gdc to notify owners and have the axles replaced. the manufacturer has not yet provided an owner notification schedule. owners may contact bri-mar at 717-709-2009.
