Defect:

On certain motor homes, a plastic fitting used to test the refrigerator's liquid propane gas (lpg) system was not removed and replaced with a brass fitting.

Consequence:

Over time, the plastic fitting may not seal correctly, allowing lpg to leak. if leakage occurs there is a potential for a fire.

Correction:

Dealers will replace the plastic fitting with a brass fitting. the recall began on january 10, 2005. owners may contact alfa leisure at 1-800-373-3372.
