Defect:

On certain motorcycles, the battery (ytx24hl) could fail during operation.

Consequence:

The battery failure causes the motorcycle engine to stop suddenly, which could result in a crash.

Correction:

Dealers will replace these batteries. the recall began september 1, 2004. owners should contact american ironhorse at 1-817-665-2074.
