Defect:

On certain fire trucks equipped with certain nmb-minebea kingpin ballpin suspension assemblies, the kingpin ballpin assembly can fracture possibly allowing the associated wheel to disengage from part of the suspension.

Consequence:

Wheel separation while the vehicle is in use could lead to a vehicle crash.

Correction:

Ferrara has replaced the king pins on all twelve fire trucks. no further action is necessary.
