Defect:

On certain ambulances, some electronic modules used in the multiplexing system could experience an electrical short circuit.

Consequence:

A short circuit could result in a fire.

Correction:

Dealers will install a 2 amp. fuse on the ground wire of the module to eliminate the possibility of overheating. the recall is expected to begin during april 2006. owners may contact demers at 1-800-363-7591.
