Defect:

On certain single axle brush chipper trailers, fatigue and cracks can occur in the tongue weldment.

Consequence:

Tongue failure can occur resulting in separation from the towed vehicle which can increase the risk of a crash.

Correction:

Dealers will replace the tongue free of charge. the recall is began march 7, 2005. owners may contact vermeer at 641-628-3141.
