Vehicle description: motorcycles. the hoses supplying oil from the engine to the oil radiator and back to the engine can separate at the fittings. a leak can develop and oil can get on the tires of the motorcycle.

Consequence:

Oil on the tires can cause loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Correction:

Dealers will install replacement oil radiator hoses of improved design and materials.

Notes:

Owner notification is expected to begin november 18, 1998.owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact moto america at 1-800-usa-moto (1-800-872-6686).also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
