- Vehicle description: fire apparatus cabs equipped with center mounted rear seats. the upper d-ring seat belt anchorages for the rear seats fail to comply to the requirements of fmvss no. 210, "seat belt assembly anchorages."
- Consequence:
- In the event of a vehicle crash, the rear seat occupant may not be properly restrained increasing the risk of personal injury.
- Correction:
- Dealers will replace these d-ring anchorages.
- Notes:
- Owner notification began october 14, 1998.owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact freightliner at 1-800-547-0712.also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).

- If there is a short in the heater and the circuit breaker does not trip, the harness will overheat.

- Dealers will replace the harness with one that has larger gauge wires.
- Notes:
