Defect:

Altec is recalling certain model year 1993-2004 aa755 and aa755l vehicles. continuous overloading or side loading of the booms could cause the lower boom to crack near the lower boom pivot.

Consequence:

Continued use could cause the boom to fail, increasing the risk of injury to people or property below.

Correction:

Altec will notify owners, and provide aa boom stiffener kit. the safety recall began on april 20, 2012. owners may contact altec at 1-877-462-5832.
