Defect:: The intermediate steering shaft was assembled with loose or missing upper and lower pinch bolts which may cause separation of the shaft.
Consequence:: Separation of the intermediate steering shaft results in total loss of steering control and could cause an accident.
Correction:: Dealers will properly torque loose pinch bolts and install pinch bolts where necessary.
