- The intermediate steering shaft was assembled with loose or missing upper and lower pinch bolts which may cause separation of the shaft.
- Consequence:
- Separation of the intermediate steering shaft results in total loss of steering control and could cause an accident.
- Correction:
- Dealers will properly torque loose pinch bolts and install pinch bolts where necessary.
- Notes:

- These wheels are composed of 2 pieces - a disc and a rim which are normally welded together. these wheels lack the specified fillet welds.
- Consequence:
- If wheel separation occurs while the vehicle is inmotion, both steering and braking could be affected resulting in a vehiclecrash.
- Correction:
- Dealers will inspect the manufacturing codes stamped on each wheel and if a wheel falls within the specified date code range, the dealer will replace that wheel.
