Defect:

Vehicle description: school bus chassis. the instrument panel wiring harness can contact the brake pedal mounting bracket. over time, the harness would abrade on the bracket resulting in electrical shorting.

Consequence:

This condition can lead to ignition of under dash components and result in a vehicle fire.

Correction:

Dealers will reroute the wiring harness and repair any wires that have been abraded.
