Heating element in outside mirror, which adheres to the reflective acrylic lens, may short due to water buildup in mirror housing.

Consequence:

This could result in melting of the lens; driver's viewthrough rear view mirror would be affected.

Correction:

Replace mirrors with units designed to prevent water buildup.
