- Rear axle must be rerated from its present 21,200 lbs. gawr to 20,000 lbs. as the maximum load carrying capacity of the axle to comply with fmvss 121.
- Consequence:
- Trucks do not comply with standard.
- Correction:
- Rerate rear axle to 20,000 gawr.
- Notes:
- System: rear axle/fmvss 121.vehicle description: heavy duty trucks equipped with type 14 brake chambers onthe rear axle.
