On the involved vehicles, lenses were installed in an inverted position. this fails to comply to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, "lamps, reflective devices and associated equipment".

Correction:

Dealer will replace both the left and right tail light lenses on all affected vehicles, free of charge.

Notes:

Vehicle description: passenger vehicles.system: lighting and communications; tail lights.consequences of defect: improperly installed reflectors will result in reducedvisibility which would increase the possibility of a vehicle accident.
