On the involved vehicles, the cab firewall can contact and eventually cut through the steering shaft.

Correction:

Dealer will inspect and, if necessary, modify the firewall to provide adequate clearance and replace the steering shaft, without charge.

Vehicle description: heavy truck tractors.system: steering; steering column.consequences of defect: loss of steering control could occur without warning,resulting in a vehicle accident.
